Young semi-sweet red wine, soft with the aroma and taste of dark forest fruits, cherries and clear notes of jam. Drink with nuts, hard cheeses, spicy dishes, spicy sausages or a herb cracker.
Colour: Bright red.
Nose: Ripe forest fruits, and sweet strawberries with floral notes.
Taste: Pleasantly sweet with mild forest fruits.
Finish: Fairly long.
Wine/food: Mature hard cheeses, nuts, apple pie with cinnamon, baguette with tomato spread, hashé, red cabbage with pulled pork, chorizo or salami.
Note: Young Cabernet Sauvignon plantings were used for this wine. The winemaker can preserve the natural sweetness of the grape using modern vinification (fermentation) techniques.
