Color: Deep garnet red
Smell: Ripe dark forest fruits, complex spice notes with notes of oak in the background.
Taste: Still ample tannins, firm, full, beautiful ripe forest fruits such as blackcurrant and blackberries. Spices such as black pepper are subtly present.
Finish: Very long
Wine/food: Nice piece of red meat, hard mature cheeses, country pâté and game pâté, rich stew with escalopes/lamb. Braised chicory, chestnut mushrooms, free-range chicken or turkey in a rich creamy sauce with wild mushrooms.
